this is another way to use gemini,

I agree. This is very important for me as well.
At least would like to request support for VertexAI express mode, which should be very easy to implement as it requires just a change to the URL format e.g. https://{REGION}-aiplatform.googleapis.com/v1/projects/{PROJECT_ID}/locations/{REGION}/publishers/google/models/{MODEL_ID}:generateContent
(Just need to allow generateContent in the URL)
